Academy Uniform
The Academy uniform is as follows:
Uniform
Plain black school shoes or plain black waterproof trainers (not fabric or any visible
logos) Plain black low heel boots are acceptable during wet/cold season (not with
patterns or fur).
White shirts/polo shirts/ blouses only (no red polo shirts) Red cardigans, jumpers* only.
Plain grey/black trousers/ knee length skirts, short school trousers, knee
length pinafore dresses as previous (no jeans, combat trousers, joggers, tracksuit
bottoms or any item with logos).
Head coverings (e.g. turbans, head scarves, kippas, etc) worn for cultural/religious
reasons should be navy, royal blue or black.
No jewellery except for a watch, stud earrings and any small items of religious
significance such as a crucifix on a chain.
No gloves, jackets, coats, hooded tops, hats, caps or any ‘outside-wear’ when in class.
No fashion accessories such as fashion belts, sweatbands, fashion hair bands including
large bows (plain hair bands are acceptable).
No torn clothing.
No make-up/nail varnish.
PE Kits
These are only worn on days when a PE lesson has been timetabled.
Children should arrive in PE kit to wear for the days lessons.
Indoor PE kit is a plain red t-shirt, plain black shorts (no leggings or cycling shorts), black trainers (already worn in school) and a change of socks as appropriate. Outdoor PE kit is a plain red t-shirt, plain black coloured tracksuit or jogging bottoms
(no leggings) and plain sweatshirt (not baggy), trainers and a change of socks as
appropriate.
Non-Uniform Days
On non-uniform days, no open toes, open heels or high heels are permitted for the
safety of all children.
Midriff or underwear cannot be visible.
Book bags
As part of the induction into Foundation all parents will receive a Lady Jane Grey Book Bag on the parents’ information evening in the Summer Term.
To ensure adequate space in all classrooms and cloakrooms, follow the guidance
below.
Either bring a:
Red book bag*. These can be purchased at many retailers and online. Lady Jane Grey
branded book bags are also available at the website below. (Please ensure that your
child’s book bag is brought in to school each day. We would like to encourage that book
bags are checked on a daily basis and that they are kept tidy.
A red draw string bag.
Please do not send your child to school with any other bags due to very limited
cloakroom space for coats.
NO RUCKSACKS ALLOWED
All of our branded uniform (these are indicated * above) can be purchased directly
online from Mapac.
Branded items are OPTIONAL.
